About the Author

Kristen J. Goree, DNP, APRN, CNS, FNP-BC, NEA-BC

Dr. Kristen J. Goree is the CEO/President of The Center for World Impact (C4WI), a 501c3 nonprofit corporation, which she describes as the "Model 4 IMPACT in action." Through this organization, Dr. Goree is committed to helping solve world problems that affect the health and well-being of youth, with a current focus on preventing teen depression and anxiety.

 

In addition to her work with C4WI, Dr. Goree is the Director of Graduate Programs and Professor of Nursing at Colorado Christian University. Dr. Goree has over 22 years of experience working or serving as a Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner in the community and almost 20 years of experience teaching in nursing academics. Over the years, she has found great joy in empowering students to impact the health of their communities through the power of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Goree is nationally certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Nurse Executive-Advanced (NEA), and is also recognized on the Advanced Practice Registry as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). In addition to her extensive teaching and clinical experience, she has served as a leader in the area of nursing administration and program assessment and evaluation. Dr. Goree was a 2015-2016 Fellow of the Leadership for Academic Nursing Program (LANP) through the American Association of College of Nursing (AACN), the recipient of the Doris J. Biester Awawrd for Excellence in Leadership, and is currently a Site Evaluator for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
